THE EPIC STORM... (:

We were away from school last Friday due to a severe storm that forced people to stay indoors and cut power to lots of homes. The following is a piece of writing created from that motivation...

HOW TO SURVIVE A STORM WITH PATRICK P.

1. Get into warm clothes, get the fire going (if you have one) and prepare for the high chance of a power cut.
2. Do not go outside!
3. Make a hot chocolate and stay warm in your bed.
4. If you start to get bored play on your iPod (if you don't have one just read a book)
5. If the power hasn't gone out, make some hot food eg. soup and chocolate brownie (have it while it's warm).
6. Have a sleep!!
7. If you have to go outside for a job be really careful and don't go near any trees because they could fall on you.
8. If rule number 7 is the case, ignore rule number 2

So far in maths I think I have been doing really well, I am in the highest maths group and in the Otago maths test I got 4 out of 5. I think that is pretty good.

MY HOLIDAYS

SUNDAY

On the middle Sunday of the holidays  my brother Kieran, my dad, James Fitzgerald, Dom Bell, Xav Bell and Elliot Bell and I all came and watched Iron Man. It was a really cool movie.

MONDAY

On Monday Kieran, Sean, Manyumow, Dom, Andre and I went to CARLUCCI LAND and played  mini golf it was fun Kieran & Mum drew 1st, I came 2nd Dom came 3rd Andre came 4th, Manyumow came 5th and Sean cheated so he didn't get a placing. After that we went to Owhiro bay we found crabs in the rock pools we found lots of crabs and some relly small fish. Then we went to Central Park in Wellington. We played on the flying foxes and did backwards videos. Right at the end of the day we all got ice-blocks. 

So all up I think I had a pretty cool middle weekend!!!:)(:

Hi I am going to tell you about what I did for inquiry. First I chose child labour for my topic, then I did lots of research then I had to write  a letter to John Key. It was hard work, but in the end I finished and it was pretty cool!!!
